When you are preparing for a wedding, there are many other events besides the wedding itself that are involved in the process. For example, the bridal shower, bachelorette party, and rehearsal dinner are all events for which you will need to make time and spend energy organizing.

1.The bridal shower

is typically run by the bridesmaids and/or the mother of the bride and groom. The purpose is to give the bride a chance to celebrate with her closest female friends and receive all the personal items she will need for her new married life. A good thing to remember is that the bridal shower is the right time to give things like scented soaps and lingerie. These things should not be given at the wedding. Brides also often have a bridal shower registry, which should be taken in to account when gifts are purchased.

Planning a theme for the bridal shower, such a spa, Paris, or even a theme based on the bride’s favorite movie.

2.The bachelorette party

is a time to celebrate the last few nights of singleness. This is for the bride and her closest friends to play, joke, and have some slightly naughty fun. Strippers and drinks are fun, but not necessarily essential. Ask your bride what she might like before you start planning a bachelorette party. Remember this part should be fun for everyone, so be careful not to step on anyone’s toes. Gag gifts should be funny to everyone, and sexual or personal gifts should fit the bride’s personality.

3.Rehearsal dinner

for the wedding is a very important time for the families of both bride and groom to get to know each other. Usually the groom’s parents will pay for the rehearsal dinner, but it is good to have that detail hammered out well in advance. You may want to select a specific menu or reserve a party room at a classy restaurant for your rehearsal dinner. Make sure that this dinner is planned almost as far in advance as the wedding itself.
A little carefully thought out planning will make your extra wedding events a snap!
